Erin Strickland

Background:

I am proud to call Monroe County home. Born and raised in the community, I graduated from Sequoyah High School in 2018 and have lived in Madisonville my entire life. I am happily married to my husband of two years, and we are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community.

This is my third year teaching in Monroe County and my third year at Madisonville Intermediate School. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work with our students each day. As an educator, my greatest goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every student feels valued, encouraged, and capable of success. I believe that every child learns differently, and I am committed to providing the individualized support and opportunities each student needs to grow, learn, and thrive.

This quote serves as a reminder of why I love what I do. Every student has unique strengths, needs, and ways of learning, and I believe it is our responsibility as educators to meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential.

A Little More About Me:

When I am not at school, you can usually find me on a softball field coaching middle and high school softball, cheering from the stands at sporting events, or spending time with my family. I am a proud Tennessee Vols and Sequoyah Chiefs fan, so there is rarely a shortage of sports to watch and cheer for! I am so excited for another year at MIS to learn and grow with my students.
